SUPER SLICKS: Sefton private hire driver reported for having dangerously low tyre tread

A Sefton licensed private hire driver has had his vehicle licence suspended after roadside checks found both front tyres to be below the legal limit.
Officers from Liverpool City Council's Licensing team reported the driver for the offence which could see them issued 3 penalty points for each tyre below the legal limit.
The driver could also face a hefty fine for the offence.
An image posted by Liverpool City Council shows a tyre which looks like it wouldn't be out of place on an F1 super slick racecar.
A spokesperson for the council said via Twitter @lcc_licensing: "Sefton PHV suspended this weekend due to both front tyres being below the legal limit of 1.6mm. Driver to be reported."
