‘Taxi driver’ caught driving wrong way on M1 tests positive for drugs

A taxi driver was apprehended on the M1 motorway after being caught driving in the wrong direction.
The incident occurred near Junction 8, where officers from the Beds, Cambs & Herts Road Policing Unit (RP32 and RP33) intervened.
Upon stopping the vehicle, officers conducted a roadside drug test. The driver tested positive for both cannabis and cocaine. The individual was promptly taken into custody.
The driver now faces serious consequences, with further legal proceedings expected to follow.
The Beds, Cambs & Herts Road Policing Unit spokesperson said: “This taxi driver was seen travelling the wrong way on the M1. When stopped he tested positive for cannabis and cocaine. He gets a 0 star review from us. Hopefully he had a 5 star trip to custody.”
