Taxi driver clocked speeding on motorway at almost 100mph with passengers on board
A taxi driver has been slammed for clocking speeds of nearly 100mph while carrying paying passengers in Devon.
The incident occurred along the M5 in Devon, when the unnamed driver was registered speeding at 95mph, by Devon & Cornwall, and Dorset Police Roads Policing Team.
The alliance of Roads Policing Teams highlighted the offence on their official Twitter account, saying: "Taxi drivers are not exempt from the speed limit. 95mph with passengers on board is not good enough."
The driver will now face prosecution for the motor offence, which subsequently may effect his role as a licensed taxi driver.
