Taxi driver rescued after flood waters nearly leave cab completely submerged

A black taxi driver in Rugby has had to be rescued by Foleshill fire fighters after he drove through a road closure sign which led to dangerous flood waters.
Flood waters have ravaged parts of Yorkshire, causing widespread damage. Many residents have been forced out of their homes as rescue teams work tirelessly to ensure the safety of the public.

A tweet from Foleshill Fire, said: "Last night @FoleshillFire @_coventryfire attended a Water incident with @WarksFireRescue Rugby crew in Church Afford, a Taxi tried to drive through flood water, luckily no injuries. Please don't ignore road closure signs! #OneTeam."
A black taxi can be seen almost completely submerged in water underneath a low bridge.
Foleshill Fire confirmed that the driver was led to safety uninjured but was left freezing cold from his frightening encounter.
