Taxi driver robbed of his takings by occupants of vehicle which attempted to ram police car

Occupants of a vehicle which attempted to ram police vehicles have been arrested for robbing a taxi driver of his takings and stealing fuel from petrol stations.
Officers were able to apprehend the occupants of the Toyota vehicle which they were driving, by using tyre stingers.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police Traffic Unit, said: "This Toyota had been on a fuel theft spree and the occupants also robbed a taxi driver of his takings in Burton not long before us & @CMPG saw it in Erdington.
”It was stung & pursued to Washwood Heath where it was stopped after trying to ram Police vehicles & both occupants were arrested."

Officers confirmed that footage of the chase may be released once the matter has been to court.
