Taxi driving with a twist: New game explores the dramatic life of a New York cab driver

From drunk passengers to crude antics in the back of the vehicle, the latest first person simulator game takes you into the world of a New York taxi driver, exploring all the trials and tribulations the trade can throw at a driver.

Launched by Woodland Games, you can now become a taxi driver and experience for yourself the everyday life in such an interesting profession.

One might think that working behind a taxi wheel could be a little dull, but you couldn't be more wrong in Taxi Simulator where you will play as a shady rap driver and drive through the wildly urban areas.

Don’t worry too much about your reputation though, as it can be improved later on. You start on the lowest level in the city’s hierarchy; you are just an average cabby. Your task will obviously be to transport people, but as you move through the levels, you could find yourself being drawn in by all sorts of temptations; some good, some bad, and some ugly.

Drivers will have to deal with everyday issues a cabbie may come across, including drunk abusive passengers who can barely walk, lost property issues and bilkers. It will be your choice which “route” you take. Will you fall foul to the temptations that come your way? Or will you stay on the straight and narrow? The choice is yours.

The game will also allow you to kit out your taxi, making it the ultimate ‘pimp my ride’ vehicle, sporting cool alloys and beefed up bodywork; you’ll be the talk of the town.

The game has only been released this year and already has over 5million users from Google’s Play Store.
