CityFleet Networks has won the ‘Exceptional Contribution Award’ at the 2021 Fleet News Awards.

The Fleet News Awards were held on Tuesday 6 July at Ascot Racecourse to ensure celebrations could take place in a safe and secure environment. In what attendees described as a ‘terrific turnout’, approximately 900 people, all socially distanced, attended the event.

Taxi firm ComCab London, a part of the CityFleet Networks, won a headline award for ‘Exceptional Contribution’. The award was a new category in recognising the fleet response to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Fleet News Award judges said: “CityFleet Networks has gone above and beyond to protect and meet the needs of vulnerable people, key workers and the NHS during the COVID pandemic. Protection of its own staff was a priority, while the business also supported other fleet operators with cleaning services and worked alongside several charities to deliver food to the homeless. It stepped up to the plate during this challenging time.”

Jan Kozlowski, Operations Director of ComCab said: “It was a privilege to attend such a fantastic awards ceremony and it was a pleasure to celebrate with other companies in our industry.

“A huge credit to the Fleet News Awards team for putting together yet another credible day. ComCab London are over the moon to have won the ‘Exceptional Contribution Award’ and I am extremely proud with how the team and drivers have come together to make this happen.”

Natasha Nicolaou, Marketing Manager of ComCab, said: “A huge congratulations to all the nominees at the Fleet News Awards. It was an honour to be amongst all these wonderful companies. It is a real pleasure to have won the ‘Exceptional Contribution Award’ for all our efforts during the Covid crisis.

“At ComCab we have all pulled together to ensure we keep London moving as best as we can and support in whichever way we could.”
