Teenager fighting for his life after e-scooter collision with a taxi in Merseyside

Merseyside Police are appealing for information following a serious collision in Knotty Ash on Saturday evening (24 April). Officers were called at 11pm to East Prescot Road near its junction with Blackmoor Drive to a report of collision involving a private Epicstuff sit-on e-scooter and a black Hackney cab.
The rider of the e-scooter, a 19-year-old man, has been taken to hospital for treatment for a serious head injury and his condition is described as critical.
The driver of the cab was uninjured, stopped at the scene and is assisting police enquiries.
Road closures put in place have now been lifted, and officers have spoken to witnesses at the scene.
