TfL reminds London taxi and PHV drivers of North Greenwich Station rules

Updated: Jun 2

Transport for London (TfL) has reminded taxi and private hire vehicle (PHV) drivers of the rules surrounding ranking and access at North Greenwich station.

The reminder forms part of TfL's ongoing communications with its thousands of licensed drivers. In its weekly TfL email update, the regulator stressed two key points for drivers:

Taxis must not be left unattended on the North Greenwich Station taxi rank or anywhere else within the bus station at any time.

Taxis are not permitted to enter the bus-only section of the station unless directed by a member of station staff.

North Greenwich station, located on the Jubilee Line of the London Underground, primarily services the Greenwich Peninsula. This station is a key transport hub for accessing the O2 Arena, a major entertainment venue hosting concerts, sports events, and exhibitions.

Additionally, it provides vital connectivity for the nearby business districts, residential areas, and various cultural attractions within the Greenwich area. The station also supports commuters traveling to and from Canary Wharf, London Bridge, and other central London locations, making it an essential part of London's transport network.
