Thames Valley Police catch FIFTY TWO speeders as major Bicester road safety operation uncovers 89 offences
Thames Valley Police officers recorded 52 speeding offences as part of an operation targeting driving behaviour linked to serious and fatal collisions.

The operation was conducted by Thames Valley Police’s Roads Policing Tasking Team alongside officers from the Special Constabulary. Activity focused on the “Fatal Five” offences commonly associated with serious and fatal road collisions.
Speeding accounted for the majority of offences detected, with officers recording 52 cases. A further 13 vehicles were found with excessive window tints.
Police also identified seven number plate offences and seven vehicles without a valid MOT. Four seat belt offences and two mobile phone offences were recorded.
One motorist was found to be driving without a licence, while two vehicles were seized. Another driver was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.
Thames Valley Police said the results demonstrated its continuing commitment to making roads safer. The force encouraged members of the public to report dangerous driving or other behaviour placing road users at risk.
