Transport for London set to host forum for taxi and private hire drivers with aim to improve safety

Transport for London (TfL) has taken a proactive approach in addressing the safety concerns of licensed taxi and private hire (PHV) drivers within the city.

In a recent communication addressed to all taxi and PHV drivers, TfL announced a forthcoming forum scheduled for the morning of Monday 16 October. The event aims to provide a platform for drivers to express their concerns and contribute suggestions to improve their personal safety.

Recognising the importance of incorporating the perspectives of those directly affected by safety issues, TfL has invited all licensed taxi and PHV drivers to participate in the significant forum. The underlying motive is to gain vital insights into the challenges faced by drivers on a daily basis, and to collaboratively devise strategies for implementing comprehensive improvements.

In the official mailing, TfL urged interested drivers to register their attendance by email.
