Two men charged with robbing taxi driver in Essex

Two men have been charged following reports a taxi driver was robbed in Wickford, Essex.
A 39-year-old man from Westcliff and a 34-year-old man from Wickford have been charged with robbery.
They are next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Monday 12 October after appearing at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 September.
It follows reports of a robbery in Appletree Way at around 2.45am on Sunday 13 September.
The victim suffered bruising and swelling to the face.
Essex Police arrested two men at around 11.30am that morning.
