Police in Lancashire have arrested two teenagers after 20 taxis were damaged causing around £150,000 worth of damage.

Officers appealed for help earlier this week after cabs belonging to Avacab were vandalised in the early hours of 16 February.

Two 14-year-olds were arrested by police and released on bail.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “You might remember last week, we asked for your help to identify a number of people from CCTV images after criminal damage, costing around £150,000, was caused at a taxi firm in Leyland.

“We were called to Avacab on Bison Lane in the early hours of Thursday 16 February. Around 20 vehicles had been damaged.

“Just to update you, two 14 year old boys have been arrested and have since been released on bail whilst we investigate further.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
