Ride-hailing firm Uber are set to launch their “Uber EV Week” this month, which will see the company hold a number of webinars and a EV Expo for London drivers to attend.

The company says it’s aiming to “reduce air pollution in London to create a cleaner, greener city” by helping drivers to transition to electric vehicles through the Clean Air Plan.

The app based private hire operator are hosting the first ever Uber EV Week dedicated to educating Uber partner-drivers on all things electric from the 13 to 17 of September.

To encourage drivers to attend the seminars, the Silicon Valley tech firm are giving away a number of prizes to attendees, who they say share the company’s ambition to be 100% fully electric in London by 2025.

The following prizes will be up for grabs to 15 Uber partner-drivers:

  • Emirates Aviation Flight Simulator Experience x 1

  • Go Karting Race Experience x 1

  • Family Segway Experience x 1

  • Chelsea Football Stadium VIP Private Tour x 1

  • Arsenal Emirates Football Stadium Legends Tour x 1

  • Wembley Stadium VIP Tour x 1

  • London Stadium Legends Tour x 1

  • Kia Oval Cricket Ground Tour x 5

  • £50 Amazon Voucher x 3.

Uber has previously said that it is committed to helping the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, with his push for a “cleaner London” by making sure every car on their app in the capital is fully electric by 2025.

To assist with their ambitions, the company introduced a Clean Air Fee of 3p per mile which was to be included on every trip taken through the app in London. The company said every penny made through the scheme would be used to help those drivers looking to upgrade to electric vehicles.
