‘UNACCEPTABLE’: South-west cabbie spotted using mobile phone whilst on disabled child’s school run
A south-west taxi driver’s behaviour was branded ‘totally unacceptable’ by police after watching them using a mobile phone in foggy conditions whilst on a school run job.
Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team shared details of their first stop of the day just gone 8am today.
Officers pulled over the taxi driver on a misty M5 motorway after spotting the driver using their mobile device.
Police officers discovered that the driver was in-fact on a job carrying a disabled child onboard travelling to their school.
A police spokesperson said: “First stop of the day. A taxi taking a child with special needs to school. The driver was driving on a misty M5 whilst using his mobile phone. Totally unacceptable.”
