Veezu cuts private hire fares in Cardiff amid cost-of-living fears

Private hire firm Veezu has announced a reduction in fares across Cardiff, aiming to support local passengers during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

The company, known for its rapid growth across the UK, implemented the fare cuts in August as part of a broader review of its pricing structure. Passengers can now benefit from reduced costs on journeys throughout the city.

This latest reduction follows Veezu’s earlier move to lower rates on long-distance travel, introduced earlier this summer.

The company hopes its actions demonstrate a commitment to offering affordable and competitive transport options, particularly at a time when many Cardiff residents are grappling with rising living expenses.

The firm’s focus is on delivering accessible and cost-effective transportation as part of its ongoing effort to support the local community.

Jack Price, Regional Director at Veezu, said: "We understand that many have felt the impact of rising expenses, and we are committed to making our services more accessible and affordable. This fare reduction is about helping Cardiff residents save money on transportation so they can focus on what matters most."
