VIDEO: Private hire driver defends himself using a BELT against three thugs in London

Video footage of thugs in London launching an attack on a private hire driver has emerged, with the driver using only his BELT to defend himself.

The driver was seen being struck by one of the three males in and around his white Toyota Prius. The driver then removes his belt before opening the driver's door in an attempt to coax out one of the males sitting in the driver’s seat.

The three males then ran from the scene on Devon’s Road, East London.

The video was posted on social media after along with claims that the group had been caught by police officers.

A spokesperson from the London & UK Crime Twitter account said: “A group of youths trying to rob cabbie in Devon’s Road (Tower Hamlets), but later caught by the police.”
