WAITING FOR A TAXI: Police searching for witnesses following grievous bodily harm incident

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of grievous bodily harm whilst a man waited for a taxi in Reading.

At around 2.20am on 2 October, the victim, a man in his forties, was pushed to the ground by another man whilst he was waiting for a taxi in Station Road.

As a result of the fall, the man hit his head on the floor and sustained head injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he remains receiving treatment.

The offender is described as a white man, of medium build with short brown hair. He was wearing a checked shirt and jeans.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jake Newton, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information about what happened to please come forward.
