LEVC has released a teaser video previewing its next-generation London black cab, following confirmation that the new purpose-built taxi will launch during the second half of 2027.

The footage gives drivers and industry stakeholders an initial look at the design direction for the vehicle, which will replace the range-extended electric TX. While technical specifications remain under wraps, LEVC says the new model is being engineered from the ground up to meet Transport for London’s Metropolitan Conditions of Fitness.

Final assembly of the current TX concludes in September 2026 as LEVC prepares its Ansty facility for production of the replacement. Further details covering the new taxi’s powertrain, capability, pricing and precise launch timetable are expected closer to its market introduction.
