West Midlands murder investigation launched after taxi ambushed and man shot dead

West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation after a shooting in Tividale, Oldbury, in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 20 June).


Officers were called to Dudley Road East at just before 1.30am, where a man was found with serious gunshot wounds after, according to the Express and Star, a cab was ambushed by a gunman.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, but sadly was later pronounced dead.


The police's investigation is in the early stages and they have closed off the area as forensic examinations are carried out.
