Wolverhampton licensing compliance officers conducted checks on PHVs in Stockton-On-Tees and Middlesbrough


In a bid to ensure the safety and compliance of private hire vehicles (PHVs) in the region, Licensing Compliance Officers from the City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) embarked on a series of inspections in Stockton-On-Tees and Middlesbrough on Wednesday.

The main objective of these checks was to ensure that private hire vehicles licensed by the authority, but operating outside of their area, are compliant with all safety standards and licensing requirements.


City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) Environmental Health, Licensing & Trading Standards team, said via social media: “Licensing Compliance Officers were out patrolling Stockton-On-Tees and Middlesbrough yesterday visiting Operator bases and undertaking checks on our Private Hire Vehicles.”
