YOUR PRIVATE CARRIAGE AWAITS: LEVC campaign displays benefits of a black taxi to travelling public
Black taxi manufacturers have stepped up their post-lockdown PR with a new electric billboard advertising campaign highlighting the distinct positive safety features of the black taxi.
The new campaign led by Coventry based taxi manufacturer LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) reads “your private carriage awaits”.
As more people return to work and move around the country visiting family and friends, the new advert appears at key locations including St Pancras International train station.
This campaign is part of LEVC’s new ‘Black Cab: Private Public Transport’ initiative highlighting how passengers can always stay socially distanced, in a personal and contactless space by choosing to travel in a licensed black taxi.
Since January 2018, more than 4,000 electric taxis have been produced, already preventing 30,000 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere and, as a result, saving 17.5 million litres of fuel.
LEVC is also supporting cabbies to get back behind the wheel with 2,000 ‘Back to Work’ kits available for collection free of charge from LEVC’s authorised dealer network. These provide protective PPE and cleaning equipment, designed to keep occupants safe and vehicles clean.
Each kit includes 250ml sanitising gel, 750ml antiviral disinfectant spray, 40 disposable face masks, microfibre reusable cloths and anti-bacterial taxi-receipts.
At the launch of the new initiative last month, Joerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, said: ”As lockdown restrictions begin to lift, our iconic black cab will play a vital role in keeping cities moving safely during these unprecedented times. Thanks to the TX’s purpose-built protective environment, passengers can enjoy comfortable, socially distanced journeys as well as a world-class professional service from their driver.”
