TaxiPoint SME Business Package - Terms and Conditions
Last updated - 11 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the TaxiPoint SME
Business Package ("the Package"), a paid promotional and editorial service provided by TaxiPoint ("TaxiPoint", "we", "us", "our") to the business purchasing the Package ("the Client", "you"). By paying the Package fee and/or submitting content for consideration, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
1.1 The Package includes, over a twelve (12) month term from the start date confirmed at sign-up:
- Up to two editorial features published on the TaxiPoint news pages, distributed through TaxiPoint's normal channels and news aggregators.
- Direct access to the TaxiPoint editor to develop and write the features described above.
- Twelve (12) months' visibility on the TaxiPoint Market website listing.
- Twelve (12) monthly listings in the TaxiPoint DigiMag Market (digital magazine classifieds section).
1.2 The starting price for the Package is £750 plus VAT, subject to change for future sign-ups. TaxiPoint reserves the right to tailor the scope or pricing of a Package to an individual Client, in which case the agreed scope and price will be confirmed in writing (including by email) before payment is taken, and that confirmation forms part of these Terms for that Client.
2. Editorial Content and Independence
2.1 Features produced under the Package are genuine editorial content, not press releases or paid advertorial copy filled to order. TaxiPoint will work with the Client to identify a newsworthy angle for each feature.
2.2 TaxiPoint retains full editorial control and discretion over whether a proposed feature proceeds, and over its tone, angle, structure and headline. The Client does not have approval rights over these elements.
2.3 The Client will be shown a draft of each feature before publication and may request corrections to factual inaccuracies or ask for other amendments to be considered. TaxiPoint is not obliged to make non-factual amendments requested by the Client.
2.4 If TaxiPoint declines a proposed feature on the basis that it lacks a genuine news story or reader/aggregator value, that declined proposal does not count against the Client's allowance of two features, and TaxiPoint will work with the Client to find an alternative angle.
2.5 Where a feature relates to a paying Package Client, this commercial relationship will be disclosed and labelled transparently in line with TaxiPoint's editorial standards. This disclosure will not be removed or altered at the Client's request.
2.6 The Client may continue to submit press releases to TaxiPoint for ordinary editorial consideration free of charge, as with any other reader or company. Such submissions are assessed on newsworthiness alone and are entirely separate from, and not guaranteed by, the Package.
3. Timing and Delivery
3.1 TaxiPoint will use reasonable efforts to publish the Client's two features within the twelve-month term but does not guarantee a specific publication date or schedule for any individual feature, or that all two features will be used if suitable angles cannot be agreed.
3.2 The Market website listing and monthly DigiMag Market listing will run for the full twelve-month term from the confirmed start date, published on the normal cadence used for those sections.
3.3 Reported audience figures (for example, DigiMag page impressions) are indicative historical averages provided for guidance only and are not a guaranteed level of exposure for any individual Client's listing.
4. Payment
4.1 The Package fee is payable as invoiced by TaxiPoint, in advance of the term commencing, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.2 All fees are exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the applicable rate.
4.3 Fees are non-refundable once the term has commenced, except as set out in Section 6.
5. Exclusivity
5.1 Exclusivity does not restrict TaxiPoint's ordinary independent news coverage of other businesses, including competitors, under Section 2.6.
6. Cancellation, Renewal and Refunds
6.1 The Package runs for a fixed twelve-month term and does not auto-renew unless otherwise agreed. TaxiPoint will contact the Client ahead of expiry to discuss renewal.
6.2 Either party may terminate the Package early for material breach not remedied within 14 days of written notice. TaxiPoint may also withdraw a listing or decline to publish a feature where content, conduct, or claims made by the Client are unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or otherwise inconsistent with TaxiPoint's editorial standards.
6.3 If TaxiPoint terminates the Package other than for the Client's breach, or is unable to deliver a material part of it, TaxiPoint will refund a reasonable proportion of the fee reflecting the unused part of the term and any undelivered features.
6.4 Save as set out above, fees already paid are non-refundable.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Copyright in each published feature belongs to TaxiPoint. The Client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to share and link to the published feature for its own promotional purposes, with attribution to TaxiPoint.
7.2 The Client grants TaxiPoint a licence to use any logos, images, quotes, and factual information the Client supplies for the purpose of producing the features and listings under the Package.
7.3 The Client warrants that any material it supplies (images, quotes, company information) is accurate, and that it has the right to supply it to TaxiPoint for publication.
8. Liability
8.1 TaxiPoint does not guarantee specific commercial outcomes from the Package, including but not limited to search engine ranking improvements, traffic levels, lead volumes, or sales, whether described as SEO, GEO, or otherwise. References to search and discoverability benefits are illustrative, not contractual commitments.
8.2 TaxiPoint is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, business, or anticipated savings.
9. General
9.1 These Terms, together with any written confirmation of a tailored scope under Section 1.2, form the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Package.
9.2 TaxiPoint may update these Terms from time to time for future sign-ups; the Terms in force at the Client's sign-up date apply for the duration of that Client's term unless a change is required by law.
9.3 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms, or about an existing or prospective Package, should be sent to the editor, Perry Richardson, at perry@taxi-point.co.uk.
