Two TfL licensed private hire drivers prosecuted for illegally plying for hire in London
Two private hire drivers licensed by Transport for London (TfL) have been successfully prosecuted for illegally plying for hire in the capital.
Both drivers were convicted at Westminster Magistrates' Court this week.
Both successful prosecutions were highlighted by the Metropolitan Police Service Roads and Transport Team, via their official Twitter account.
Mirza Shenvari was convicted by Westminster Magistrates of plying for hire, accepting a booking without an operator's licence and no insurance.
He was issued with 6 points on his DVLA licence and ordered to pay fines and costs, totalling £525.
Saadat Ullah was convicted by Westminster Magistrates of plying for hire, accepting a booking without an operator's licence and no insurance.
He was issued with a 3 month driving ban and ordered to pay fines and costs, totalling £525.
Both men will now have their private hire licence reviews by Transport for London.
