Poppies to Palaces; We will never forget

Christine Cobbold of The Royal British Legion approached Verifone to help with ‘Poppies to Palaces’ event on 26 October - part of the annual programme to support our Service men and women, veterans and their families, and remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. Verifone drivers Samantha Hall (pictured) and Mark Williams will be providing transfers for members of the Royal Household, volunteers and organisers. Royal passengers, volunteers and special poppy corsages will be collected from Haig House, Clarence House, St. James’s Palace and Kensington Palace, and taken to Buckingham Palace.

Danny Sivanesan of Verifone was delighted when asked to help the charity again this year. “We’ve worked closely with The Royal British Legion over many years, so didn’t hesitate when they asked for our support for this important event again. Mark and Sam were only too pleased to lend their own support too, and we’re all proud to play our part in this great programme of events.” This is the ninth consecutive year that Verifone and their generous drivers have supported the event at their own expense, despite payment being offered by The Royal British Legion. If you would like to donate to the 2017 Poppy Appeal, please call 0845 845 1945 or click here to give online.
