Images released; Manchester cab driver stabbing investigation

Greater Manchester police have released pictures of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a brutal attack on an innocent cab driver in Moss Side. As reported in TaxiPoint Trade News publication a cab driver was stabbed multiple times during what is now believed to of been a dispute over a fare on Saturday 11 November at around 8:00pm. The victim, a 42 year old man, managed to drag himself from his vehicle and seek help from local residents. He is said to be stable in hospital.

Geoff Machent, Detective Inspector of the GMP's City of Manchester team, said in a statement: "As we continue to investigate this brutal attack, our thoughts remain with the driver as he recovers in hospital. We are continuing to follow extensive lines of enquiry and are particularly keen to speak to the man pictured in connection with this attack"

"If you saw the man pictured in the area around the time of the offence, or have any information about him, then please get in touch" Anybody with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 2017 of 11/11/17, or independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
