Gareth Powell to replace Leon Daniels as TfL Managing Director of Surface Transport

It has been revealed today that Gareth Powell is to replace Leon Daniels at Transport for London.

Mr Powell was a senior consultant at WS Atkins, before joining TfL in 2003 as Head of Business Performance. His other roles have included Director of Transformation, Director of Strategy & Service Development for London Underground and Chief Operating Officer for London Rail.

He will be taking over Leon Daniels role as Managing Director of Surface Transport with immediate effect.
