First cabbie hits the road in new LEVC taxi

The keys to the first LEVC TX eCity to roll off the production line were given to London cabbie David Harris earlier today. The ex-tennis professional was quick to register his interest for the new TX electric taxi last year and has been rewarded today.

Cabbie Davis Harris is likely to save roughly £600 per month in fuel and running costs when compared to his previous diesel model.  LEVC recently invested £300m in a new manufacturing plant in Coventry and hopes to sell roughly half of the vehicles produced to overseas buyers by 2020. The firm owned by Chinese giants Geely hope to produces other vehicles using similar technology.
