Arrival of the new 18 plate sees LEVC’s biggest week for electric taxi handovers yet
The 1st of March sees the arrival of new 18 license plate and with it a raft of new range extended electric taxis for LEVC customers.
Over the first few days of March, LEVC will be handing over 18 vehicles to customers, as the pace of production at our new factory increases, making the first week of March our biggest yet for vehicle deliveries. Along with all TX eCity drivers, these 18 plate customers will also benefit from the electric drive and highly efficient range extender which means that they can expect a significant reduction in fuel costs. This is because all LEVC products include eCity technology - an advanced battery electric powertrain with a small back-up petrol generator. Applied to the all-new TX, the technology allows for a range of 377 miles including up to 80 miles pure electric range. LEVC’s rate of delivery will continue to rise as the business aims to handover vehicles to the hundreds of drivers who have pre-ordered our new electric taxi. As such, Londoners should expect to see ever-greater numbers of the new electric TX eCity on the road – meaning improved air quality for everyone.
As well as improving the city’s air quality, TX customers and their passengers will benefit from the TX’s new multi-filter system that works to remove gases and particles from the incoming air. Also, an in-built air quality sensor also automatically closes the external air intake if it detects increased levels of pollution in the outside air – protecting passengers, and the driver, from the capital’s often poor-quality air. The TX is also the one of the only vehicles sold with a panoramic roof as standard. This means that London’s taxi drivers can offer their passengers a unique view of the city. A level of service that most alternatives to black cabs are unable to provide. Drivers, passengers and Londoners will also benefit from world-class active and passive safety systems which will help to protect both the vehicle and other road users too. These include forward collision warnings, autonomous emergency breaking and emergency brake assistance, while the TX combines an extremely strong, rigid aluminium body shell with crash protection to the highest international standards, reinforcing the black cab trade’s reputation for safety.
