Verifone rebrands as Curb

Verifone’s team that was dedicated to the taxi trade in the UK has undergone a management buyout and will now be operating under a different brand name called Curb.

Curb has no involvement in general retail markets and will work exclusively with professional, hard-working drivers and operators who keep our cities moving. Over 18,000 of them across the UK currently use a Verifone card payment system, and will now be looked after by Curb.

Jon Wheeler, Curb VP and UK General Manager said: “ with our dedicated staff and well established card processing systems, we are now looking forwards with a renewed sense of purpose and optimism.

“We have very exciting plans to introduce cutting edge products and services to help our drivers in the future. With a new-found freedom to develop these initiatives, there is a real buzz about the place.”

Wheeler also added that the team are working hard from their Kennington Operations Centre to ensure a seamless transition for existing drivers across the country, including over 8,000 in London alone
