Uber reach settlement with autonomous vehicle victims family
Ride-hailing service Uber has reached a settlement figure with the family of Elaine Herzberg following her tragic death involving an autonomous car.
49 year old Ms Herzberg was killed after one of Uber's autonomous vehicles collided with her on 18th March in Arizona.
A settlement was reached and annnounced by the Herzberg family's lawyer on Wednesday. Full details remain guarded.
An investigation into the collision is currently being conducted by The National Traffic Safety Board.
In a statement on Twitter, Uber said immediately after: “Our hearts go out to the victims family. We are fully cooperating with local authorities in their investigation of this incident "
