Driver of minicab with false documents sentenced to jail for transporting cocaine across London

A driver of a minicab that was discovered to have false documents has been sent to prison along with two accomplices for transporting £4.5 million of cocaine across London. Lumturi Bitri, 30, Arjon Hyseni, 28, and Lentian Isoufaj, 33, were being watched by the National Crime Agency and Metropolitan Police organised Crime Partnership, when officers spotted them carrying a large bag which they believed to be filled with drugs. The three men transferred the bag from a van in Cricklewood, London, into a minicab which was then pulled over in a Hanger Lane, London. Officers found 32kg of cocaine in the holdall with an estimated street value of £4.5 million. An undisclosed sum of cash was also found. When the officers run checks on the driver of the minicab, Lumturi Bitri, it became apparent that the documents used for the vehicle were false. All three men were sentenced at the Old Bailey on March 23. Bitri, of Sorrel Road, Oxford, was jailed for five-and-a-half years. Both Isoufaj and Hyseni of Headington, Oxford, were sentenced to eight years and six months.
