21 year old man dies following collision with Taxi after a night out in Hertfordshire

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward following the tragic death of a 21 year old man who fell into the road and was run over by a taxi or private hire vehicle, after a night out in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, in the early hours of Saturday morning. The victim is believed to of fallen into the road in a busy town centre after a night of clubbing. A black Vauxhall Insignia carrying two passengers collided with the man, who is believed to of been already laying in the road. Paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to save the man. The driver of the Vauxhall Insignia was not arrested. It's not yet confirmed whether the driver is a taxi driver or a private hire driver. The police are now appealing for anyone who was witness to the collision to come forward with any information, especially the two passengers of the vehicle who could hold vital clues to what happened.
