Leicester cabbie robbed at knifepoint

Two men are being hunted by Leicestershire Police after a cabbie was robbed at knifepoint on the morning of April 25th.

The driver had picked up the two men from an address in Elgin Avenue, New Parks, Leicester at approximately 3am.

The two men produced knives during the journey, and made the driver to hand over his mobile phone.

They then forced the driver out of his Toyota Prius and stole the vehicle. The vehicle was later found in Gooding Avenue, Braunstone. Fortunately the driver was unhurt during the incident.

Police wish to speak to anybody who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the Gooding Avenue area.

One of the suspects, is white, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins, in his early 20s and of slim build. He was wearing a Red top and Black trousers and is believed to be the driver of the stolen Prius.
