Over 100 U.S Uber drivers accused of sexual assault in a four year period

It's been revealed that more than 100 Uber drivers have been accused or convicted of sexual assault across the United States in the last four years.

This figure includes 31 convictions for crimes which include rape,  there are other cases pending.

The Daily Mail has reported that a CNN investigation into 20 cities across the US identified the alarming figure. Police reports as well as federal and county records were examined, with Uber countering the report by stating that 2.4 Billion journeys had taken place during the four year time period.

In 2017 John David Sanchez, a driver for Uber, was convicted of 34 charges of rape and sentenced to 80 years in prison. Sanchez was one of 103 drivers either accused or convicted of sexual assault.
