Passenger hurtled through Taxi window during horror crash as Fire Service warn: always wear your sea

A passenger was thrown through a taxi window and ended up beneath the overturned cab in a horror crash that has prompted firefighters to remind other road users to always wear a seatbelt. The victim hurtled through the back window of the taxi when a collision occurred with another vehicle on Monday night at around 7.30pm. The taxi was seen on its side in the middle of the road, surrounded by firefighters and police. West Midlands Police taped off the scene and drivers were urged to avoid the area.

Unbelievably, the taxi driver was helped from the overturned vehicle with only minor injuries. The female passenger that was thrown through the window was taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries.

A Facebook post from Billesley Fire Station read: "RTC Stratford Rd, Hall Green. 2 car collision.

"Passenger ejected through rear window ending up underneath rear quarter of vehicle. "Fortunately only minor injuries and not trapped. Driver assisted out, uninjured. "Other vehicle involved left scene. *Always* wear your seatbelt." As reported by the Birmingham Live, a spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC involving an overturned car in Hall Green just after 7.30pm last night. "We sent one ambulance, one paramedic officer and a merit doctor. One patient, a woman, was taken to Heartlands Hospital for relatively minor injuries."
