TV star Laurence Fox thrown out of Uber midway through journey after driver cancels trip

Film and TV star Laurence Fox has been left fuming after being thrown out of an Uber private hire vehicle mid-journey.

The 41-year-old took to social media to vent his anger after claiming the Uber driver cancelled Mr Fox's journey whilst he was in the car and told him to leave the vehicle.

Mr Fox said on Twitter: "Once again Uber driver refuses to do his job and cancels when I'm in the car on the way to my son's prize-giving, which I'm now going to be late for. Not using you lot again. @AddisonLeeCabs from now on. @Uber are cowboys."

The Lewis and Foyle's War star followed up by claiming that the Uber driver then used a few "choice" words as he exited the vehicle.

Twitter user @BobHosk91074148 said: "Had plenty cancel while on-route to collect me. But never once they have already picked you up! Unbelievable.”

Whilst @Charlot05475465 said: "I don't use Uber for just this reason... the cabs in London are awesome and have driven to destinations in record time."

It is believed that Uber are looking into the incident.
