Taxi driver overtaking slow moving traffic divides opinion on allegations of dangerous driving
A taxi driver caught on camera overtaking a queue of traffic has come in for divided opinion on social media. The video was posted onto the Hull Road Share: Improving Our Standards Together Facebook page on 27 September.

The footage shows a taxi overtaking a line of slower moving traffic an A-road, before moving back in when oncoming traffic appeared. The driver capturing the footage on a dash cam said the cabbie could have “easily caused a head-on collision due to being too impatient”. The administrator of the page uploaded the video and the driver capturing the footage went on to say: "Tried to overtake me in my lorry, a car in front and a tractor in front but realised he couldn't make it causing the car in the opposite direction to brake and making me brake to allow him in front to prevent a collision.
"Luckily this time no accident was caused." Comments from members on the page varied from one saying: "Should have his taxi licence taken away and go court for dangerous driving." Another member on the Facebook page said: "Omg so many sensitive snowflakes. See this many times from all other drivers daily yet, when a taxi driver does it, all of a sudden it's bad driving ffs.”
