Man left with serious head injuries and rushed to hospital following attack at taxi rank

South Yorkshire Police have released CCTV images following an assault on a man at a taxi rank in Doncaster town centre. 

Officers investigating the attack, which took place on Saturday, 12 October, have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the investigation.

It was reported that around 5am, on Princes Street, a 26-year-old man was punched by an unknown man twice, whilst standing in a taxi queue. 

The attack caused the victim to fall to the ground. He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. 

Officers are also keen to speak to the woman pictured who may have witnessed the assault. Anyone who saw the attack is asked to call 101 quoting incident 180 of 12 October 2019. You can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to give information anonymously.
