One of the very last TX4 black taxis to have been produced is now on sale to customers looking to own a piece of London’s iconic history.

Designed by Afzal Kahn, the distinctive black cab is the last of five specially commissioned London Taxi TX4 models to have been made. The iconic and luxury final ‘Last of Line Edition’ taxi is available to buy for £69,999.

Inside the cab, passengers and the driver will find quilted and perforated Nappa leather throughout.

The roof of the vehicle has a fibre-optic starlight feature commonly seen in Rolls-Royce vehicles, piano black trim, a leather-trimmed wheel, colour-coded seat belts, Last of Line door sills and a plaque bearing Afzal Kahn’s signature completing the Kahn cabin makeover.

Afzal Kahn said: “While it is sad to see a beautiful, iconic vehicle reach the end of its life, it is a great honour to re-design and celebrate what is truly one of the most famous cars in the world.”

Four models of the London Taxi TX4 have already been sold, and it is envisaged Mr Kahn himself will sell the remaining model to one lucky customer.

An LTC spokesperson told the luxury car makers: “Afzal Kahn is famous for his original designs and willingness to push the boundaries, and we admire his ability to capture the essence of a vehicles’ character.

“We believe he is the best designer to give this iconic vehicle the send-off it deserves.”
