Addison Lee has appointed Patrick Gallagher as its new chief executive officer, marking a leadership transition as the firm restructures its UK operations.
Gallagher will succeed Liam Griffin, who will continue in his role as Group Chief Point-to-Point Mobility Officer at parent company ComfortDelGro. The move signals a shift in operational focus while maintaining continuity at group level.
Gallagher joined Addison Lee as chief operating officer and board director in March 2020 and has since been closely involved in the company’s operational and strategic repositioning. His tenure has coincided with a period of change for the London-based private hire and courier operator as it navigated post-pandemic demand recovery and evolving market competition.
Prior to joining Addison Lee, Gallagher spent nearly two decades as chief executive of CitySprint Group, where he led multiple acquisitions and expanded the business across the UK. His broader experience spans more than 35 years across logistics, mobility, healthcare and retail sectors in both the UK and North America.
Leadership reshuffle aligns UK operations under single structure as business pushes ahead with growth strategy
As part of the leadership transition, Addison Lee is consolidating its UK operations under a single structure. This will bring together its London services with regional activities under CityFleet Networks in the North West. Gallagher will oversee this enlarged platform, with responsibility for integrating operations and supporting further expansion.
Patrick Gallagher, CEO at Addison Lee, said: “Addison Lee has set the benchmark for premium urban mobility in London, and I’m incredibly proud to be leading the company into its next chapter.
“Our focus will be on driving innovation, expanding our services and continuing to deliver market-leading propositions to our customers, all while supporting the people who make Addison Lee possible: the drivers. We’re committed to improving the experience and livelihoods of our drivers, providing opportunities and practical support so they can thrive on the road and build fulfilling careers.”
