Appeal for witnesses after assault at Banbury taxi rank

Thames Valley Police are seeking witnesses to an incident in Banbury where three people were assaulted.


The incident occurred between 2am and 3.15am on Friday 19 July, at the Horsefair taxi rank.

Two men and a woman were attacked by a group of three men. Following the assault, two of the victims were treated at a hospital but have since been discharged.


A 20-year-old man from Banbury has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released on police bail pending further investigation.


Investigating officer, PC Rosie McCabe, said: “We are appealing for the public’s help following this assault.
