BILKED AND ATTACKED: Taxi driver assaulted in Mistley as passenger flees without paying

Essex Police have launched an investigation after a taxi driver was assaulted in Mistley during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident happened at around 1am on 8 June in Brunswick Gardens. The driver had reported being attacked after a passenger left the vehicle without paying the fare.
Officers confirmed that two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Both are currently in police custody.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward. They are urging those with relevant details to contact them quoting reference 0055 of 8 June.
