BILKER ALERT: Police investigate alleged York taxi fare refusal after station journey

A passenger allegedly left without paying after travelling from York Railway Station to Cornlands Road.
North Yorkshire Police are investigating an alleged fare evasion involving a passenger collected from York Railway Station.
The incident occurred at around 11.30pm on June 27 after the passenger was taken from York city centre to Cornlands Road.
Police said the passenger refused to pay upon arrival. A spokesperson said: “The sole occupant left without offering payment into a block of communal flats.”
