Cambridge City Council says its portal for applying for and managing licences is unavailable, with taxi applicants directed to contact the authority by email if their case is urgent.

The council published the alert on 22 October 2026, saying it was working with the system supplier to restore the portal “as soon as possible”. It did not give an estimated restoration time.

The outage affects the council’s own access to the portal as well as users’ ability to submit or manage applications.

For urgent taxi licensing queries, applicants can email the licensing authority.
