Curb has launched its Curb Flow service in Broward County, extending access to licensed taxi services across Fort Lauderdale and neighbouring communities.
The system integrates bookings from the Curb app, fleet dispatches, and street hails into a single platform. By streamlining how passengers and drivers connect, Curb Flow aims to reduce waiting times and strengthen fleet efficiency. The move follows a strong rollout in Miami-Dade County, where rides completed through Curb Flow rose by 115% between May and June 2025 compared to the previous year.
Broward County, with an estimated 2 million residents in 2025, sits at the heart of South Florida’s transport corridor. The area sees steady population growth alongside significant commuter and tourism demand. Curb says the new technology will not only improve availability for passengers but also support more reliable earnings for drivers.
Curb has worked with local operators to build its presence. Yellow Cab has been serving Broward for more than 65 years and has partnered with Curb to introduce county-wide dispatching and in-car data systems. B&L Yellow Taxi, which operates more than 500 vehicles in the county, has also worked with the company on technologies including credit card processing and automated dispatch.
The introduction of Curb Flow comes as South Florida prepares for major events such as the FIFA World Cup 2026. With Broward welcoming millions of visitors each year, the new system is expected to help manage traffic pressures by distributing trips more effectively across fleets.
Curb Flow has already been deployed in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Since its launch in 2023, Curb reports that its overall network volume has quadrupled. The company says the expansion into Broward strengthens its long-term investment in Florida, where it now connects drivers and passengers across Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward counties.
Dorel Tamam, Director, Head of Mobile Business Unit at Curb, said: “Fort Lauderdale and Broward County are dynamic markets with a mix of year-round tourism and local commuter demand.
“Curb Flow ensures passengers get faster, more reliable service while helping drivers reduce idle time and increase earnings. The strong results in Miami-Dade show how this technology can quickly strengthen the licensed taxi network in high-demand regions.”
Joe Davis, President of B&L Yellow Taxi, said: “We have had a long history of providing safe and accessible transportation throughout Broward County.
“Partnering with Curb has enabled us to connect passengers with licensed taxis more quickly, reduce driver downtime, and improve service across the county. With the enhanced capabilities of Curb Flow, we can continue delivering the high-quality, trusted transportation our community depends on.”
