Curb Flow lands huge hotel and corporate booking deals for London taxi drivers

Curb has expanded its London-based Curb Flow platform through new partnerships with Taxi Butler, HQ and GRiDD, increasing the number of connected demand sources available to black cab drivers to five.

The mobility technology provider said the latest integrations are designed to give licensed taxi drivers access to a wider range of metered trip requests without needing to switch between multiple dispatch or booking systems. The company is positioning the platform as a driver-focused alternative to commission-based ride-hailing models operating in the capital.

Curb Flow launched in London last month following operations in several US cities. The platform operates on a 0% commission structure, allowing drivers to retain the full fare from metered journeys while deciding which demand streams to accept. According to the company, drivers are not subject to acceptance quotas or penalties for declining jobs.

Taxi Butler is among the latest partners joining the network. The company provides hotel and venue taxi booking technology across the UK, Europe, the United States and Australia. Through the integration, hotels and hospitality venues using Taxi Butler systems will be able to connect guests directly with London black taxis operating on the Curb Flow network.

Curb says new integrations with Taxi Butler, HQ and GRiDD will increase metered trip opportunities for London black cab drivers through a single platform

Dorel Tamam, Vice President of the Mobile Business Unit at Curb, said the company’s approach was focused on increasing revenue opportunities for drivers rather than reducing margins. He said the platform would continue to add new demand partners to grow business volumes for cab drivers using the network.

Corporate travel technology provider HQ (Summit Quest) has also joined the platform, opening access to enterprise and managed business travel demand. The integration is expected to give black cab drivers exposure to additional corporate bookings where regulated transport and compliance standards are required by clients.

Meanwhile, GRiDD will connect its GNET transportation operator network into Curb Flow as part of a London rollout. GRiDD said its network includes more than 5,500 ground transportation operators globally, potentially widening access to black cab supply for international partners and affiliates seeking transport coverage in the capital.

The expansion comes as London’s licensed taxi trade continues to find new ways to compete with app-based operators for passenger demand while facing ongoing pressures linked to operating costs and driver recruitment.

Technology integrations that increase direct booking access without reducing fares through commission charges are becoming a growing area of focus within the sector.

Curb said licensed black cab drivers across London can access the platform through the existing Curb system, while additional ride-hailing providers, technology firms and fleet operators are being invited to join the network through the company’s UK platform.

Thomas Kruyne, Head of Sales and Partnerships for Taxi Butler, said: “London's black cabs are a trusted part of how the city moves. Integrating with Curb Flow gives venues and hotels direct access to those cabs, expanding the options available to guests.”

Jeff LaFave, Managing Director of HQ, said: "Corporate travellers expect reliability and compliance and London's licensed black cabs deliver exactly that.

“Through Curb Flow, HQ clients gain further seamless access to a professional, regulated cabs that meets the standards our global partners require.”

Amir Zafar, Co-Founder and CEO of GRiDD, said: "Connecting transportation networks is at the heart of what GRiDD does. Curb Flow represents exactly the kind of open, driver-first platform we want to be part of.”
