Hampshire Police appeal after taxi driver allegedly punched in face

Hampshire Police have issued an appeal following an assault on a taxi driver in Blackfield last month.
The incident took place on Blackfield Road between 6am and 8am on Saturday 27 September. It was reported that a taxi driver was punched in the face by a passenger during the journey.
Officers have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation. They believe he may have information that could assist enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: “Do you recognise this man? We would like to speak to him in connection with a reported assault on Blackfield Road, Blackfield.
“We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
“If you witnessed anything of the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone or dash cam footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
