Once you have joined, look under the Updates tab. iPhone users will find it at the bottom-left of the menu bar, while Android users will see it at the top of the screen.
If the tab does not appear, update WhatsApp, close the app fully and reopen it.
To receive notifications from TaxiPoint’s WhatsApp Channel, unmute it by tapping the bell icon at the top of the page. You can also mute and unmute notifications under Channel information.
Messages are sent only by the TaxiPoint team. Your information remains completely private and other followers cannot see your details or phone number.
You can leave the Channel at any time by going to Channel information and selecting unfollow.
What are WhatsApp Channels?
WhatsApp introduced Channels earlier this year, giving users a way to follow organisations and receive broadcast updates without joining a conversation. Channels operate as a one-way information feed, similar to updates seen on other Meta platforms. It enables newsrooms, transport bodies and other organisations to send timely messages directly to followers, such as travel alerts or industry announcements.
The feature extends WhatsApp beyond its traditional role as a messaging app, following previous additions like Communities, which allow groups such as schools or local organisations to gather multiple chats under a single structure.
