Joint taxi and private hire vehicle enforcement effort at Manchester Airport to boost passenger safety
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers are stepping up efforts to maintain security and passenger safety at Manchester Airport after a day of taxi and private hire vehicle checks.
Authorities are working alongside a range of partner agencies to ensure seamless travel experiences for all airport users.
GMP’s Airport Division has bolstered its presence, working in collaboration with taxi licensing teams from across the North West. This latest cooperative approach aims to ensure that licensed taxis meet all regulations, providing safe and legal transport for travellers arriving at or departing from the airport.
A Greater Manchester Police Airport spokesperson said: “GMP Manchester Airport Officers continuing to ensure a safe travel for you, your families and your friends to and from the airport.
“Supported by our multi agency colleagues from Taxi Licensing from across the North West and beyond.”
